Resolved Question: Hos long does Rush
I think his technique with courageously bold smear campaigns will have embedded itself in his style, and he won't be able to emote the humility necessary to recover from his Sandra Fluke comments. I predict that within a year, his ratings will begin dropping, and his focus will shift much more to his detractors than it currently is. His criticism of the media will change from being about attacks on republicans, to being about attacks on him. Because of his new focus his audience will stop growing - the only people who continue listening will be those who already support him.
To compensate he will further ramp up the boldness of his attacks which will backfire and cause the part of his audience that prefers his mellower and more cerebral side to move on. Over time other shows will gain on his ratings, and within 2 to 7 years, Rush will drop to third or fourth place among conservative talk shows. As a result he'll lose a significant number of stations. On some, he'll be moved from live to recorded, and in some cases, be moved to overnights. Even still, it's unlikely that any liberal show will ever beat him and he won't be off the air until he retires in 20 years.
What do you think? From recent news:
Limbaugh’s numbers likely are going no where but up despite the anti-Limbaugh push.
New York Times:
- Two stations are known to have canceled the show since the uproar started.
- Premiere defends Rush's right to express opinions. “They’re giving it time,” said a radio executive.
- PSAs now fill some of the time during commercial breaks.
- Nearly $2 million in revenue has been lost.
A new Bloomberg pole shows some people think Rush should be fired for Fluke comments.
- More then 50% of Americans (politico.com says 53%)
- 49% of men (vs 47% say don't fire)
- 56% of women (vs 39% say don't fire)
- 30% of Republicans

Resolved Question: Glen Beck vs. Rush
I have to write a paper for class comparing and contrasting to different syndicated radio programs. I was assigned Glen Beck and Rush Limbaugh. However, I know nothing about talk radio and I never listen to it. Can anyone give me some ideas that I can branch off of for this paper? It has to be 3 pages and I have to talk about similarities and differences in their personalities, programming, content, and advertising. I need a lot of things that I can easily build on and talk about. THANKS!!!!!

Resolved Question: Is rush limbaugh a wacko
I try to listen to the rush limbaugh show once or twice a week. I usually find him to be hysterical, As long as you don't take the actual content too seriously. The things he believes are so off the wall that they can be taken as comedy.
He'ss just a little bitter lately.
By the way, I think the extreme right is just as crazy as the extreme left. They are both extremely wrong. Usually the truth is somewhere in the middle... But Rush is still usually pretty whacky!

If he is, why is he so in love with Hawaii's "universal health care system" they run out there? The way the Hawaiians run their health care is about as socialistic as you can get. Could Rush Limbaugh be a huge hypocrite? "robot_hooker5," It's all over the news @ss hole. He just spent some time in the hospital and just loves how it went over there. http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/wireStory?id=9464645 "majgross," You're a dumb s hit on a hundred different levels. "Libertarian is crushing ACORNS," YOU ARE WRONG! Hawaii has had nearly-universal employer-mandated health insurance since 1974. And it STILL DOES. You might want to look this s hit up a little better before you respond next time. "justgetitright," I was speaking metaphorically when I talked about Limbaugh "loving" Hawaii's health care system. I was trying to make a point that while he "runs down" socialized health care on his radio show, he ends up praising the same sort of health care system when he is expossed to it. So, it turns out the medical care is good. And, I also understands that he is paying out of pocket for what he got in Hawaii. Hawaii has had it since 74'. It can't be that bad.
