Resolved Question: My dad is really
I'm going into my junior year but I've been thinking about colleges recently. He is literally paying none of it anyways, regardless of whether I go in-state or out of state. We have a university in my city but I really want to get out because I don't feel it offers enough opportunities for me to pursue my interest in engineering and I think getting away from my family would be a good thing, not that I don't like my sisters or mom, my relationship with my dad is admittedly pretty rocky but I think it would be really good for me to have some independence. On top of that I have really, really terrible (almost debilating, it's REALLY bad) allergies in my hometown because we farm so much wheat, and I hate the climate. I have the GPA (3.9, and that's with tons of honors/AP/classes normally taken grade above) and extracurriculars to get into a really nice school, I also took the PSAT and got above the 95th percentile in everything, even 98th in math. So it isn't as if I wouldn't get scholarships to (probably) pay for a decent amount. All my extended relatives are very supportive. My mom is very supportive. But my dad is constantly shooting down my goals of getting into a nice college. I'm even trying to get a job. But he literally offers no interest or support at all, most of his reactions are extremely negative. Should I just ignore him? My family is not rich by any means so I know that money is a factor but he is trying to confine me to a bad school. Anna. I already said. He's not paying ANYTHING either way. I meant it. I would be paying EVERYTHING. So I would be taking full responsibility regardless of what school I go to. Also, my mother is the main source of income in the family. Currently he's unemployed and has been besides a few random TA jobs for the past couple years because there's not much funding for a really esoteric field like fish genetics at the university.

Resolved Question: Boys name help? Character
Okay, so I'm writing a story that's basically a fantasy/fairytale-ish type story. Anyway, I need a name for a Prince. The Prince isn't the love interest but the protagonist's older brother. He's a fairy and in line for the throne. You are here to help, not to judge, thank you. As many names as possible. And if you want to throw in names for other characters that would also be very helpful I should probably add, some fairyish sounding names would be great. And he's a young ish Prince too, y'know, late teens early twenties. Mordern day names are okay as long as they fit the character profile. Sorry that it's not much to go on. Resolved Question: What is a good
I'm bored out of my skull and want to buy a complete series on DVD. I only want a series that has finished eg. Buffy or X-Files. Not Heroes since it is still ongoing. I've been out of the TV loop for a long time and don't really know what's out there. I want to watch a really good show, not Angel or Farscape because they blow. I have been recommended Firefly. Any more suggestions people? And without ruining the story for me, why would you recommend it? Thanks guys. I watched V when I was child and again about 2 years ago. It lost it's charm when I watched it again due to me casually noticing 100 plotholes. Ah, good old silly classics. Thanks for the suggestions so far but there's no way I would ever watch Torchwood. It's an abomination starring one of the worst "actors" on Earth. What are TruCalling, Tin Man and American Gothic about? I have never heard of them. I'm already a huge fan of Dark Angel, which sadly ended long before it should have. One of the reasons I may give Supernatural a try since my hero Jensen Ackles is in it too. I'm not sure why but I think Babylon 5 is pretty low on my list. It always struck me as the poor man's Star Trek. Although admittedly, I have never watched it. I used to watch Alias. Good stuff. Became too busy to continue watching it and then got put off when I realised that Jennifer Garner was no longer in it. I hate cast changes. It is something I always wanted to pick up again. I am an avid fan of Smallville already but thanks for the heads up about it. I can't watch anything on Hulu because I gather it's a U.S. only site or something. Their site says it is "not available" in my country. I had no idea that the internet was restricted like this. Hearing a lot of support for Babylon 5 - I think I'm being swayed.
