Resolved Question: Need help with topic
Need help with topic questions about Philip Roth?
So far my teacher has disapproved of two of my topic questions, they are
1. (How has Roth's experience with political satire affected his writing.) In her comments she said "unclear. pls focus" The second topic question that she disapproved of was (How does Philip Roth incorporate religion into his writing.) in her comment she said "do you mean Judaism? or overall religion. she also said that the question was too broad" I am having trouble with coming up with a topic question that she will approve of. i would appreciate it if i received help

Resolved Question: Does anyone on here
If you read books like Twilight (or that kind of garbage literature), don't bother to answer my question.
Anyway, do you agree that Philip Roth is basically America's only remaining novelist?
Cormac = awful
Pynchon = awful
Dellilo = awful
Morrison = pretty good, but nothing compared to Roth

Resolved Question: For those who have read
I have been reluctant to read Roth because of an initial distaste for "Portnoy's Complaint". I've read "The Plot Against America" and am moving through "Everyman", and am now rethinking my prejudice. Please indulge me with some quick and dirty reviews?
