Resolved Question: Help with brokerage
I'm going to be starting a brokerage account when i'm 18 i just had a couple of questions! Lets say you have 10 stocks and want to sell them, does the money go into your brokerage account? I know it gets taxed once you put it into your bank but i just wanted to clarify where the money went! And does that mean when Celebrities have a net worth of 100 million invested, could that mean that its just sitting in their brokerage acct gaining interest? Thanks:) btw how much does it cost to wire from brokerage account to bank?

Resolved Question: What makes a brokerage
I'm a college student who is teaching himself about stocks. When I feel ready to enter the real stock market rather than playing the marketwatch stock market game. I want to know how I can find a good brokerage. As I'm reading the innovators DNA, certain brokerages have policies that inhibit good brokers and so I'm looking for ways to find good brokerages that have good brokers. What makes a brokerage good, what pitfalls to look out for, etc?
If there's any experienced investor who can shed some light I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
