Resolved Question: Did you have a favorite
The one I remember best was "From Here to Eternity," but he starred in many others during his long life and career. He died Sunday at age 95. I never saw "Marty," but heard good things about it. I also remember him in the TV series and movie, "McHale's Navy." He had a pretty good range of acting talent, playing heavies as well as good guys and even doing well in comedy. Most of today's actors would be hard-pressed to show as much talent as Ernie had. Jose, go to your room.

Ernest Borgnine is currently 95 years old and still active as an actor. He won an Academy Award for Best Actor for Marty in 1955 (57 years ago). Is he the oldest still living Academy Award winner and/or does he hold the record for having the longest timespan between now and his win?
